Circular calcium carbonate gets DE BAL OPZuid rolling
The south of the Netherlands is using the 2021-2027 ERDF programme OPZuid for its ambition to utilise and improve the region’s strength in terms of economy, entrepreneurship and innovation, with the aim of having a social and economic impact. The five transitions – energy, climate, raw materials, agriculture & food and health – align with the Green Deal and European and national innovation policies. Technological expertise is important for groundbreaking innovations, but it’s not enough in itself. The challenge is to make use of the technological and non-technological power of the south by collaborating not only within the region, but across regional borders as well.
