The Royal Association of Dutch Paper and Cardboard Manufacturers, or VNP, focuses on connections, sustainability and innovation. VNP’s key mission is to forge connections between people and planet, the paper industry and society. If these connections are to be successful, the industry must continuously work on sustainability and innovation. VNP plays a stimulating, supportive role in these processes.
Every year, VNP awards the Energy Trophy to the paper company that has made the biggest improvements in the area of energy saving and carbon efficiency. This year’s winner is Essity. Essity and Alucha gave a detailed presentation at the Fibre Future Festival on 5 June 2024, explaining their innovative pyrolysis process for processing paper sludge.
